Competition Rules
6 x 6 x 6 Competition Format – Stableford
- Holes 1 to 6 Played as a Betterball - Full individual handicap allowance - Each pair takes the best score of the two - Ensure score is in the correct column.
- Holes 7 to 12 Played as a Greensome - Half combined handicaps - Each player drives - The ball to play is then selected - The other player then takes the 2nd shot and play alternates until the ball is holed.
- Holes 13 to 18 - Played as a Foursome - Half combined handicaps -First player only drives and play alternates until ball is holed - Second player then drives on the next hole and alternate drives are taken until the finish.
There will be no 2’s sweep, but there will be sweep for the pairs with the best Stableford score on the four par 3 holes.
Delaney Texas Scramble
- All drive.
- The player whose drive is chosen cannot hit the 2nd shot.
- After the 2nd shot, the player who is chosen cannot hit the 3rd shot.
- Continue in this way until the ball is on the green. Once the ball is on the green, all the players in the team can putt.
- 4 man teams, 4 drives per player. 1/10th combined.
- 3 man teams, 5 drives per player 1/6th combined.
- On fairway place ball within 12” not nearer hole.
- In rough drop ball within one club length not nearer the hole.
- Score each hole(Strokeplay) under the letter of the player whose drive was taken on that particular hole.
Medalford
Medal front nine (nett total) ,followed by Stableford back nine (points)----subtract back nine points from front nine nett to get total.Lowest total wins.
Full handicap.
Strokeplay
The format used for Medals.Strokeplay is where you count the number of shots it takes to play a round of golf.This score is the gross score.The nett score is the gross score minus the players handicap.
Stableford
Devised by Dr Frank Stableford as a points game.A net score of two over par or more on a hole equals zero points,one over par equals one point,par equals two points,one under par equals three points,and two under par equals four points.
Two Man Texas Scramble
Handicap allowance….1/4 of combined handicap or that of the lower handicap player whichever is lower.The 6 drive rule applies.
Bowmaker
Teams of 3.Best two stableford scores on each hole to count.Full handicap.
