Ashley Wood Golf Club

Welcome to the Ladies section of the Ashley Wood Golf Club.

The section was started in 1974, and has been going from strength to strength ever since.
We have 85 ladies at the moment who have handicaps and several ladies who no longer play but are social members of the Club.
Our main  competition day is a Tuesday, but those ladies who are still employed can play the competition on a Sunday.
Competitions are held every week  barring a couple during the Christmas period, and these are all well supported, so there is always something to play for and someone to partner.
The months between March and September are particularly busy, for as well as playing in our own competitions, we have many friendly matches, both mixed and ladies only.
Many players participate in County competitions.
Everyone is encouraged to participate where possible in the matches as it is great to play on other courses for free and to be sociable afterwards with the opposition.  Many new friendships can be made this way.
